Something new is coming for fans of D&D.
Dungeons and Dragons 5e publishers Wizards of the Coast are planning to announce a new hardcover title on Tuesday, February 23.

Now, Wizards of the Coast has not outright announced the fact that they’re going to make an announcement, but we’ve been keeping an eye on Amazon and saw that the publishing giant has a placeholder ready for the new title on its site.
The placeholder (as seen in our feature image) only shows a blank D&D book with “COMING SOON” written across its cover, and the entire “product” is titled “Dungeons & Dragons May Title (Announced February 23) Hardcover – May 18, 2021.”
Its description reads “Your first look at the next Dungeons & Dragons title comes on February 23! Keep an eye on wherever you get your D&D news for a preview of the book.”
A recent video posted to the official Dungeons and Dragons Twitter account provides what may be a hint at what’s to come on Tuesday.
On Monday morning, the @Wizards_DnD account posted a 40-second message showing nothing but a spirit board spelling out THE MIST BECKONS, leading many fans (and us here at the Dispatch, if we’re being honest) to believe that this upcoming announcement will have something to do with the setting of Barovia or the dark lord Strahd von Zarovich himself.
Whether that’s the case or not, we’ll just have to wait until tomorrow to find out.
