Kobold Press launches Kickstarter for collection of over 800 magic items

Who doesn’t love a pile of good loot?

Kobold Press, a company at the forefront of publishing third-party material for Dungeons and Dragons 5e, has recently launched a Kickstarter for its Vault of Magic; a collection of over 800 new magic items that can be brought into D&D campaigns.

While it may not be “official” material from Wizards of the Coast, Kobold Press has proven in its 14 years and previous 18 Kickstarters that it is capable of bringing creative yet balanced additions to the decades-old game.

Because who doesn’t like to add a bit of spice every now and then, hey?

The Vault of Magic Kickstarter has already reached (and wildly surpassed) its original goal of $63,076, with a total of $273,584 raised by 3,761 backers… and it still has 24 days to go.

Those hoping to get their hands on the collection of items have a wide variety of backing options, with the Vault of Magic PDF coming in at $25US; a virtual tabletop (Roll20, Fantasy Grounds, or Shard) and the PDF for $39US; The hardcover and PDF for $49US; the hardcover, PDF, and VTT for $88; and the handbound leather edition of Vault of Magic for $599, which also comes with a “gold-stamped cover, special endpapers, a ribbon bookmark, your choice of VTT (Roll20, Fantasy Grounds, or Shard), plus the PDF at no extra charge.”

None of the above options include shipping in the price, however.

The vault will include everything from rings to wands to armor and everything in between, and is expected to be delivered to participating backers by October 2021.

If you are planning to back the Kickstarter, we’d act sooner rather than later seeing as two of its reward tiers have already sold out!
