If you’re counting down the days until the release of Wizards of the Coast’s latest adventure module, Candlekeep Mysteries, this event is for you.
WotC has partnered with Baldman Games to offer a D&D Virtual Play weekend in the days leading up to that March 16 release date, allowing D&D players the chance to experience one of two new adventures helmed by pro DMs.

According to the article posted by WotC, the Virtual Play Weekend will run from March 12 to 14 with multiple four-hour session exploring Michael Polkinghorn’s 5th-level adventure the Joy of Extradimensional Space and Mark Hulmes’ The Price of Beauty for 5th level parties.
Participants will be able to join the fun with an existing Masters campaign character, use a pre-generated character for The Price of Beauty, or create a brand new character at 1st-level following the DDAL Masters Player’s Guide (Appendix 3).
Registration to the even will open at WotC’s Yawning Portal at noon on March 2 EST, with tickets expected to run players $15.
The Virtual D&D Weekend is also offering a wide variety of other adventures to join, as seen in the schedule posted by Baldman Games (@baldmangames) on Twitter — all event times in Eastern Standard Time.
Seems a little typo snuck in to the grid. Both of the Candlekeep preview events should be listed at $15 each, and they’re definitely worth every penny!
We assigned some of the very best DMs to give a great time with these.

Participants secure a ticket on March 2 will be sent an email containing a link to a Discord server where games are organized and staff will be available to answer questions. Players are encouraged to check it out sooner rather than later (and definitely before your scheduled game) as there are some details to iron out prior to the Virtual Play Weekend.
WotC’s Twitter account gave a bit of a preview of the level 1 adventure The Joy of Extradimensional Space, stating that “A book leads characters on a quest to find a missing sage. This adventure, inspired by the Mordenkainen’s magnificent mansion spell, presents a memorable introductory mystery for new arrivals to Candlekeep.”
The official Dungeons and Dragons Twitter account has given a few other previews on the mysteries found in the soon-to-come anthology, but no similar preview has been posted for The Price of Beauty (yet).
Candlekeep Mysteries retails for $50US, and those hoping to get their hands on it ASAP can preorder on Amazon and save 30% — dropping the price down to $35. Preorders are also available at your local gaming stores and through Barnes & Noble, Books-a-Million, D&D Beyond, Fantasy Grounds, and Roll20.
