This Canadian library is offering the D&D Essentials Kit to would-be players

Those lucky Canadians.

A library in Fort St. John, British Columbia has been doing its part in popularizing the game we all know and love by offering D&D Essentials Kits to would-be DMs and players.

A Facebook post published on February 18 states that four kits are being offered up for loan:

“Dungeons & Dragons is a great game to play with your household! FSJPL is excited to offer the D&D Essentials Kit for loan–the kit includes everything your party of 2-6 players needs for a great introduction to the game!” the post states.

The library is also going the extra mile (or kilometre, because this is Canada we’re talking about here) by offering 1 to 2 hour guided introduction sessions on how the game works.

We doubt we have many (if any) readers from Fort St. Johns, BC, but on the off chance that we do — feel free to contact Morgan at programs@fsjpl.ca to snag one of the kits for you and your bubble.

Here’s hoping that similar programs start popping up in libraries across the continent — and the world — as D&D continues to grow in popularity.
