If you want to make your next D&D session or one shot a little more exciting, we’ve got you covered.
We recently discovered this hilarious (and thorough!) set of rules for a Dungeons and Dragons drinking game courtesy of the actual-play podcast Don’t Drink and Dungeons and Dragons.
The podcast features a one-player campaign, with every episode following the carefully-curated drinking rules.

These include everyone taking a drink for things like rolling under 10, casting a leveled spell, or a when a character drinks in-game, to name just a few.
Of course, there are some significant repercussions for Nat 1s, and boons for Nat 20s.
We coouuuld write out all the rules here, but we figured it would be easiest to embed the beautifully crafted Instagram post that showcases them better than we ever could:

Be sure to follow along and listen to Don’t Drink and Dungeons and Dragons on Apple Music Podcasts and Spotify to get an idea of just how wild the game can make a session of D&D. The podcast is currently on its 22nd episode, and also makes for a great example of how to make a one-player game of D&D work.
(We’re also sure that Hanna and Jasen, the creators behind the podcast, wouldn’t mind if listeners drink along with them throughout the episodes!)
As mentioned by Don’tDandDnD’s post, those who do decide to use the drinking game rules should “always, always, always drink responsibly and allow for people to opt out of the rules if they want.”
