Hello, and welcome to The D&D Dispatch, your new place for all things Dungeons and Dragons.
This site is being launched at an interesting time for D&D: The COVID-19 pandemic still has much of the world within its grip, forbidding most adventuring parties from coming together anywhere other than online.
Yet still we persevere. This site will feature tips and tricks on how to run, or play in, a successful campaign virtually, along with the latest D&D news, some controversial opinions, a deep dive into some obscure rulings, and whatever other fun things I can think up.
I should probably introduce myself; I am The Dispatcher, the writer, editor, administrator, and sole funder of this little passion project. I can’t truthfully say that I have any more experience than the average D&D player or Dungeon Master, but as a former digital journalist I can promise that everything contained within this site will be properly sourced, true, and reasonably well written.
But this isn’t just about me, either. We all know that the rules of Dungeons of Dragons have a lot more flexibility to them than most games, and that’s why I encourage you, the reader, to make your voices heard in emails and comments and little scrolls sent by pigeon about your own takes on how situations covered here should have been ruled, tales of your own party’s adventures, and anything else you may deem interesting regarding Dungeons and Dragons.
My hope is that the D&D Dispatch will become a place for news to be shared, tales to be told, and friends to be found.
Expect at least a few new articles a day, and be sure to follow our social media channels to be alerted when hot new content is published.
Thanks for coming along for the ride.
